Holgate aims to continually improve its health & safety performance by taking a pro-active approach to the management of health & safety.

Our Safety Strategy

• Investment in the education of staff at all levels in health & safety procedures through periodic in-house safety seminars & free access to appropriate information.
• Identifying & adopting legal requirements as our minimum acceptable performance standards
• Appropriate safety planning and regular reviews.
• Establishing health & safety objectives/ aims & systematically monitoring performance to ensure these milestones are consistently met.
• Clearly defining health & safety responsibilities
• Involving our employees’ Safety Representatives to identify their concerns/ issues; ensuring ongoing commitment & development of our health & safety policies.
• Operating a safety management system and providing the necessary resources to implement the policy.

Periodic audits & reviews are carried out by our external Safety Consultant to ensure that all the above policies are implemented and adhered with. Our Safety Consultant has at all times full authority to reform & undertake improvements to company policies, procedures & performance targets.
